Privacy Policy — MVideo

Effective date: 27 September 2026

This policy explains what information the MVideo application (“the app”) handles, what leaves your device, and why. It is written to match exactly what the app does. If anything here is unclear, please write to me at the address at the end.

MVideo is published by Maneshi MCO, who is responsible for the app and for this policy. Contact for any privacy question: maneshi.mco@gmail.com.

What stays on your device

The app is a photo and video editor. All editing happens on your device: trimming, cutting, cropping, merging, filters, colour correction, text, collage, slideshow, GIF creation and audio work all run locally.

Your photos, videos, audio files and the results you create are never uploaded anywhere. The app has no server, no account system, and no facility for transferring your media off the device. Files you edit and files you save remain in your device’s own storage and gallery.

What is collected, and by whom

The app itself collects nothing. It does include two Google services, which collect data automatically in order to work:

DataCollected byWhy
Device identifiers, such as the app set IDGoogle AdMobServing ads, measurement, fraud prevention
IP address, which may be used to estimate approximate location (country or region — not a precise position)Google AdMobServing ads, measurement, fraud prevention
App interactions, such as app launches, taps and ad viewsGoogle AdMobServing and measuring ads
Crash reports, including stack tracesFirebase CrashlyticsFinding and fixing faults in the app
Diagnostic information, such as device model, operating system version and app versionFirebase Crashlytics and Google AdMobDiagnosing faults and app performance

Crash and diagnostic data is processed by Google on my behalf so that I can fix problems in the app. Data collected by AdMob is shared with Google as an advertising provider.

The app does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, calendar, messages, browsing history, financial information, health information or precise location, and it asks for none of these.

Advertising

The app shows advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. Because the app is available to users of all ages, every ad request is marked as child-directed. This means ads are not personalised, are restricted to age-appropriate content, and the Android advertising identifier is not used to build an advertising profile.

Google’s handling of advertising data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and in the AdMob privacy information.

Children’s privacy

The app is intended for a general audience, including children, and I comply with the Google Play Families Policy.

No personal information is requested from any user, of any age. Ads shown in the app come only from advertising providers certified by Google for use in apps aimed at families, and all ad requests are treated as child-directed, as described above.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact me and I will act on it.

I take care that the app, and the Google services it uses, comply with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the E.U. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable law.

Permissions the app asks for

The app asks for camera and media permissions together when you first open it, rather than at the moment each one is used.

Security

All data described above is sent over encrypted connections (TLS).

Retention and your choices

Crash and advertising data is retained by Google according to its own policies. The app holds no account and stores no personal profile, so there is nothing to sign out of or delete on my side. If you would like to ask a question about data held about you, write to the address below and I will help as far as I am able.

Uninstalling the app removes its data from your device. Your photos and videos, including anything you saved from the app, remain in your gallery.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over data held about you — to ask what is held, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. The app holds no account and no personal profile, so there is nothing I hold about you personally. For the crash and advertising data described above, which is held by Google, write to me at the address below and I will help you direct the request.

Changes to this policy

If the app’s data practices change, this page will be updated and the effective date above changed. Please check it from time to time.
